What is a resin-bound driveway?
Resin-bound surfacing is made by mixing clean aggregate with resin before spreading and trowelling it onto a suitable base. The finished surface holds the stones in place while retaining small spaces between them. This differs from resin-bonded surfacing, where loose aggregate is scattered over a layer of resin. We explain the proposed system so you know exactly what is included.
Preparation comes before the finish
An attractive surface relies on what sits underneath. Loose material, movement, unsuitable levels or damaged foundations need addressing first. Some existing surfaces may be suitable for an overlay; others need excavation and a new base. We assess each Oxford property individually and explain the options before work begins.
Drainage designed for your property
A permeable resin-bound surface needs a compatible build-up beneath it. We consider the sub-base, ground conditions, falls and where rainwater can safely go. Door thresholds, garages and adjoining areas also matter. The survey identifies the drainage work required as part of your installation.
